My favorite cosmetology website, behindthechair.com, has just released a photo collection of the looks that made the finals in NAHA (the North American Hairstyling Awards). Check them out!

So being the big ‘ol queer that I am, I decided to do a post about the lovely lezzies of the cosmetology world… both real, and fictional.

Sally Hershberger is one of the most sought after hairstylists in Hollywood. Her signature cut, the “Sally Shagg”, became an instant hit after it was debuted on actress Meg Ryan. Sally is a JEWISH LESBIAN HAIRSTYLIST! My hero :)… I will be just like her one day :P

Tabatha Coffey of Tabatha’s Salon Takeover on Bravo TV has been with her partner for over a decade. 

She was quoted saying “It’s Not Really About the Hair: The Honest Truth About Life, Love, and the Business of Beauty.” in 2011.

Shane McCutcheon is probably the most lust after charater of the hit Showtime drama The L Word.  She is played by Katherine Moennig, who is also a lesbian. Sally Hersberger is rumored to be the inspiration for Shane.
